This winter extravaganza is being held in memory of Lisa Lauring Kennedy, who passed away in 2010 after a year-long battle with Lung Cancer.
Our family is grateful for the care Lisa received at Dana-Farber and we want to celebrate her life by raising funds to support them in their quest to cure cancer.
The last White Out Cancer event raised $24,600 dollars.
We invite you to join us on February 8, 2020 for an evening of fun and dancing. Please click the button below to buy a ticket to the event or to make a donation
More people in the United States die from lung cancer than any other type of cancer.
The disease takes more lives than breast, prostate, colon, and pancreatic cancers combined and its survival rate is only 16%.
Because lung cancer carries the stigma of smoking it does not get the same type of funding and support given to other cancers.
According to the Washington, D.C.-Lung Cancer Alliance, for every person who dies of breast cancer, $26,000 is spent on research, yet less than $1,500 is allocated for those who die of lung cancer.
